THANK YOU FAMILIES !!

This year’s reunion was another great success.  We got together, we told war stories (lies), and had a great time.  Isn’t that what our reunions are supposed to be about? 

Some of the events that I enjoyed were:  the MK V dives at the tank (Some of us old timers dressed in the all too familiar gear to get pictures); Golf Tournament; Friday Night Social; Family Picnic, and the hospitality suite (Thanks Bill).

Steven Burch was the Committee chair this year and he did a bang up job of setting everything up for the reunion.  He put us in the Marriott at the City Center in Newport News, a relatively new complex that hosted the reunion very well. 

This year’s tee shirt design was a contest and (although the decision was very close) our own Scott Eaton came up with the winning design.  Many thanks Scott!  I hope everyone got their tee shirt for this year.  Remember that they are one of a kind and they are only sold prior to the reunions.

The next U.S. Army Diver’s Reunion will be in Monterey California in 2013.  Exact dates are not yet available but keep in touch with this website for updates and information.  The reunion committee chair for 2013 is Thomas Florance.  If you’re living on the west coast get in touch with Thom and volunteer to be on the committee.  It is work but it comes with great rewards.
